Bob Haft

Bob was born and raised in Walla Walla and attended Washington State University where he obtained a B.S. in Psychology (1971) and an M.F.A. in Photography (1975). He worked and taught photography at Diablo Valley College in Pleasant Hill, California before being hired at The Evergreen State College in 1979 where he taught photography, figure drawing, and art history until retiring in 2018. He has been actively making photos for over 50 years and his images have been exhibited in numerous U.S. cities (including Seattle, San Francisco, and New York) as well as international galleries in Poland, Paris, London, Rome, and Seoul. He believes that making art is a form of personal expression and that everyone should be encouraged to practice it whenever possible.
